Corrective Colours
Correctors are used to counteract or neutralise tones found in the skin so foundation and concealer can work better.
Correctors are used to counteract or neutralise tones found in the skin so foundation and concealer can work better.
Lilac/Lavender
If you suffer from yellowing under the eyes, or your tan/warm skin is looking dull and grey, try a lilac primer or concealer. It brighten and evens your skin.
Green & Yellow Counteracts - Red/Pink
If you suffer from rosacea or reddish skin try green or yellow concealer or primer, it will counteract the red tone in the skin.
If you have cool skin tone try green or you have warmer skin tone try the yellow.
Peach/Pink/Orange Correctors
Peach/Pink/Orange concealer brighten grey/purple/blue/green/dark under eye circles but keep in mind once you apply the corrector you may need to go back over the area with a foundation or concealer that matches your skin to ensure it blends out evenly.
Light Pink for pale Skin
Peach for Medium Skin
Orange for Dark Skin
I have a set of cream correctors like this. I thin them out on my palette and then apply to my clients, but they work amazing thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteHey thank you so much. I don't think people realize how hard is to be clear and informative while on video and you do a great job. I was wondering if you could talk about covering Melasma. Pregnant women get them. They are dark splotches similar to age spots. Mine are on my cheek and beside my eye. Sometimes they leave after you have the baby but sadly I'm one of the unlucky ones who got stuck with them. I'm pretty pale which makes them stand out and very hard to cover up:(
ReplyDeleteWow, amazing shades. Love them , try to get soon. lovely post.

ReplyDeletewhen i first saw a green corrective colour i couldn't belive my eyes, never really stopped to think it's crazy, and I still don't know how to use it: under a more natural colour? and how could it be usefull to NOT make me look like a zombie if I put it under my eyes? (the only time i've really used it was when i disguised as a zombie pin up for halloween, also thanks to your "well hello sailor" video, the first of you I've ever seen, and it worked)
ReplyDeleteBTW The only thing that's realy REALLY missing in this lovely blog is a serious, long, personal, heartfelt ABOUT ME page, I would have loved to check it out!
I Love make up and love to read about makeup tips . i saw your blogs these are truly nice and interesting.

ReplyDeleteThere are numerous Medical Treatment for Melasma which might improve the presence. Superficial pigmentation is easier to treat than deep pigmentation. If melasma happens during pregnancy, it might resolve on its own within a few months after delivery and recovery may not be required.
